Cherry Creek Safeway

An interior and exterior renovation located in a high profile shopping/residential area.

As veterans of numerous complex renovation projects with Safeway, WSA was selected to renovate the Safeway retail store at this visually prominent and politically sensitive location.

Substantial interaction and review by the local neighborhood was required. The design approach to the exterior was to retain the existing building envelope, including the glass storefront and distinctive decorative brick patterns. Architectural features were added to emphasize the entrances to the retail store and awnings were added to highlight the window wall. The end result is a bright and inviting facade that is a significant visual upgrade to this busy intersection.
